The renovated Viru Keskus has managed to raise its profile from a small, somewhat shabby shopping centre to a modern and interesting place to shop. In May, the much-anticipated Scandinavian fashion store ARKET opened in the centre. ARKET is a Stockholm-based lifestyle brand that opened a store in Helsinki over a year ago and this year the brand expanded to Estonia.
Located on the second floor of Viru Keskus, the ARKET store offers contemporary products for men, women, children and home, and also features a Nordic vegetarian café. In addition to Scandinavian-style clothing, ARKET also offers a wide range of products for home decoration. The shop’s café is a great place to relax while you shop.
ARKET Café is the warm, cosy heart of the modern contemporary market. The café offers a wide menu full of fresh vegetarian dishes, sandwiches and pastries. The menu is the brainchild of Swedish chef Martin Berg. Seasonal ingredients and traditional Scandinavian flavours are intertwined with cuisines from around the world. Founded in 2017, ARKET is based on the concepts of ecologically sustainable design and everyday beauty. These core ideas originate from 20th century Nordic modernism, which combined the worlds of art, craft and functional form to create affordable objects for everyday use.
